2016 “A Precious Gift” Toy Drive – Erie, Colorado

The holidays are here and it’s one of my favorite times of the year! From Thanksgiving to New Year’s, celebrating traditions new and old means extra time spent with family and friends, taking time to reflect on the reason for the season and giving.

Every year my family selects an organization to support through donations. Typically we donate toys and enjoy letting our daughter select toys to give a child in need. This year, I’m excited to announce I’ve partnered with A Precious Child to host a toy drive in Erie and the surrounding area.

About A Precious Child
If you’re not familiar with A Precious Child, this is a wonderful organization that supports kids right here in Colorado by providing them with basic essentials. Through their A Precious Gift program, they are helping make holiday wishes come true for children in our area.

Qualifying Colorado children and families can “shop” for needed items and gifts at the A Precious Child Resource Center in Broomfield at no cost. Additionally, A Precious Child collaborates with 200+ local agency partners (schools, health and human service agencies, churches, foster homes, service organizations, safe homes, fire and police departments, at-risk youth shelters, and homeless shelters) to serve families in need in Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, and Weld counties.

How You Can Help
When you’re out and about doing your holiday shopping, please consider purchasing and donating a new unwrapped holiday gift to A Precious Child. These toys will stay local here in Colorado and bless a child who may not otherwise get a gift. What a joy it is to give to those that are less fortunate.
